How do I know my eCardica Greeting was sent?
How do I stop delivery of an eCardica Greeting?
I am unable to pick up eCardica Greetings that have been sent to me.
I am unable to view animation.

I am unable to hear sound/music on the site.
My eCardica Greeting's animation is slow or choppy.


How do I know my eCardica Greeting was sent?

eCardica Greetings are delivered to your recipient within an hour of you clicking on the "Send your e-Card" button.* After we send your eCardica Greeting, you will receive a Cc (carbon copy) of the e-mail sent to your recipient.** This e-mail contains a link the recipient and you can click on to view the e-Card. If the recipient's e-mail address was entered incorrectly, you will receive what's called a "mailer daemon" e-mail letting you know that the eCardica Greeting could not be delivered. If this happens, please check your recipient's e-mail address to make sure you entered it correctly, and resend the e-Card. NOTE: All registered eCardica Members may view their card history information by clicking on the "History" icon in their Control Panel and/or clicking on the "History" link in the Members Toolbar.

*Delivery time of e-Cards may vary if there is a problem with the recipients e-mail and/or any other Internet/e-mail related problems. Please e-mail techsupport@eCardica.com if your eCardica Greeting has not been delivered within 24 hours of clicking on the "Send your e-Card" button.

**In order to receive a Cc (carbon copy) of the e-mail sent to your recipient containing their eCardica Greeting information, you MUST check the 1st box (send me a copy) under the "Other options" section when personalizing your card.

How do I stop delivery of an eCardica Greeting?

ONLY eCardica Greeting that have scheduled for delivery at a later date may be deleted (For detailed instructions please click here).

Unfortunately, items sent for immediate delivery cannot be cancelled or retrieved for editing. Once an eCardica Greeting has been sent, there is no way to stop the delivery.

I am unable to pick up eCardica Greetings that have been sent to me.

If you cannot pick up and/or view an eCardica Greeting that has been sent to you, please look over the list below to see if your situation is described.
You use an e-mail service that only uses text, such as Erols, Juno, Airmail, or Dataflow. Mail servers that use only text are incompatible with eCardica Greetings.
You are using WebTV. Some WebTV users are unable to view all of our eCardica Greetings. If you have a newer version that came with a Flash plug-in, you will be able to view all of our eCardica Greetings. However, if you have an older version of WebTV you will only be able to view our electronic postcards.
You are using a private institution e-mail account, like those at businesses and colleges. These networks use "attachment blocks" to ensure that no viruses get downloaded into their computer systems. Attachment blocks can also keep our eCardica Greetings from being sent and/or received.
The security level of your e-mail program is set too high. To learn about the security settings in your particular e-mail program, please contact your e-mail provider.

I am unable to view animation.

Some of our interactive e-Cards use an enhanced animation called Flash. To view these e-Cards you will need to have a Flash plug-in. You can download the Flash plug-in for FREE at http://www.macromedia.com/.

Please follow the instructions below to download a Flash plug-in:
Go to at http://www.macromedia.com/.
Click on the "download" button located in the top menu bar (http://www.macromedia.com/downloads/).
Choose "Macromedia Flash Player."
Read the Installation Instruction and then click on the "Download" button.
After installation is complete, please go to the link provided in your original e-mail. The eCardica Greeting will automatically play from this point.


If you have downloaded the flash plug-in and are still unable to view animation on our site, please e-mail us and we will be happy to provide you with further assistance.

I am unable to view eCardica Greetings in the "Funny" (Over 13) section.

eCardica's "Funny" (Over 13) section uses a cookie mechanism to operate properly.

If you are unable to view an eCardica Greeting in this section, please look over the list below to see the possible causes of this problem and how to resolve them.

Causes:
A working firewall is installed on the computer that you are using. A firewall (or any other filter program) may block cookies and/or may not allow cookies to be stored into your computer.
The settings of your browser (i.e. Internet Explorer, Netscape, AOL) have been manually changed (for any reason) on the computer you are using and they are no longer set to the Default settings of the browser.
In some instances, both of the above may apply.


Solutions to resolve this problem:
If you have an installed and working firewall, turn it off when you are trying to view eCardica Greetings in the "Funny" (Over 13) section.
Reset the settings of your browse (Security Tab and Privacy Tab). This will bring back your browser to its default settings. Please follow the instructions below to set your Internet Explorer browser back to its default settings:
  • Click on Menu->Tools->Internet Options->Security Tab: set MEDIUM level for INTERNET zone.
  • Click on Menu->Tools->Internet Options->Privacy Tab : set MEDIUM level.

I am unable to hear sound/music on the site.

Please be advised that not all e-Cards have sound. However, if you are viewing an animated eCardica Greeting and you are unable to hear the sound/music first, please check your individual computer controls.

If you are using WINDOWS, there should be a "horn" icon on the bottom right hand corner of your computer screen. Double click on the icon and make sure the volume control is turned up loud enough, and that the mute square is not checked.

We also advise checking your Multimedia settings by following the instructions below.
Click the START button in the lower left corner of your screen. Select SETTINGS from the menu; then select CONTROL PANEL.
Choose Multimedia.
Choose the MIDI tab.
Make sure that under single instrument that you have a device selected that ends in "synth".
Click Apply.


If you are using a MAC, check to be sure that sound is enabled on your computer and follow the instructions below.
On the Edit menu, choose Options, and then click the Web Content tab. Make sure that the Play Sounds check box is selected.
Check to make sure that your computer's volume is turned up.
Check to make sure that you have the Quicktime Musical Instruments extension installed on your computer. It should be in the Extensions folder in your System folder. If you do not have this extension installed, visit http://quicktime.apple.com for more information and to download a copy.


If you are still unable to hear the sound you will want to download the appropriate plug-in at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/mediaplayer/ or http://home.netscape.com/plugins/get_beatnik.html?PID=11399 (depending on the browser that you use).

My eCardica Greeting's animation is slow or choppy.

Slow modem speeds or slow computer processors can cause delays or slow animation of our eCardica Greetings. We recommend using a modem speed of at least 56k to connect to the web, and a computer processor speed of at least 133 MHz. We also recommend closing all other applications on your computer (except your web browser) while you are viewing our eCardica Greetings.

If you are still experiencing difficulty, you may want to install more memory on your computer.
